Mr. Julius Miley Jr. passed away at Baton Rouge Health Care Center in Baton Rouge, at the age of 77. He was a native of Varnado, and long time resident of Denham Springs.

Julius was survived by his wife, Eloise Miley of Denham Springs; two sons, Jeffery Scott Miley of Bogalusa, and Johnathan Joshua Miley of Baton Rouge; one stepson, Michael Applegate of Mt. Hermon; one stepdaughter, Carrie Applegate Hartzog of Franklinton; three brothers, Elton Miley of Angie, Doyle Miley of Angie, and Don Miley of Bogalusa; and also eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Eva Mae Crain Miley Sr.; one brother, Bruce Miley; and one sister, Leatrice Miley.

Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend funeral services on Friday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m., at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa. Visitation began at 9 a.m. until service time. Officiating was Elder Doyle Ball. Interment immediately followed at Miley Cemetery in Angie.
