Billy F. Thomas, 59, of Pine, died Thursday evening, Oct. 10, 2019, at Riverside Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 13, 1959, and was a graduate of Pine High School. Billy was a longtime cross-country truck driver that worked for several different companies through the years, hauling any possible freight that you could. He was proud that he had visited all 48 continental states as well as Canada and Mexico. Billy liked to drink Cherry Dr Pepper and he always had a sucker or candy for every one of his beloved grandbabies. He really enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and he had a special place in his heart for his pet dog Sparky.
He is survived by: his wife of 42 years, Donna Deas Thomas of Pine; two sons and daughters-in-law, Landon and Mandy Thomas of French Settlement, and Austin Thomas and his fiancé Kayla Schilling of Franklinton; daughter and son-in-law, Jeanie and Ron Thomas of Pine; seven grandchildren, Sydney Thomas, Bryson Thomas, Brelynn Thomas, Logan Thomas, Lakynn Thomas, Colston Thomas and Ryan Thomas; parents, Wendell Thomas and Jeanette Magee Thomas of Pine; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Sonny Harper of Jonesboro; mother-in-law, Jean Deas of Thomas; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Janet and Mike Thomas of Thomas, Mike and Ruthie Deas of Walker, Julie and Harry Leyrer of Madisonville, and Jodie and Amanda Deas of Pine; and also numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home on Monday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. A private family graveside funeral service will follow the visitation in Pine First Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Harold Gaddy and Elder Richard Magee officiating.
