Maggie Mizell Corkern, 88, a resident of Enon, died at 6:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

She was a member of the Enon Baptist Church. She devoted her time to her special needs son.

She is survived by: her son, Jessie Wayne Corkern of Enon; her niece, Evelyn Corkern of Enon; and also by numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Lee Corkern; and her parents, Isom and Aletha Knight Mizell.

Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home after 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, with a funeral service held at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Chris Wheeler officiating. A private burial followed in the Mizell Cemetery.
