Hettie Marie Tynes, a former resident of Bogalusa, died Sept. 22, 2019, at the age of 64. She was born on July 14, 1955, the daughter of J.D. and Mazie Tynes. She was a graduate of Bogalusa High School and was of the Baptist faith. She had been a resident at Wilkinson County Senior Care in Centreville, Miss., for the past eight years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Ann Tynes.

Survivors include her sister, Pauline Seale (Mike) of Bogalusa; brothers, David Tynes (Margaret) of Petal, Miss., and Gary Tynes of Pearl, Miss.; six nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A private family funeral service was held graveside at Crain Cemetery in Stateline at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Arrangements were under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Centreville. Local arrangements were under the direction of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa.
