Washington Parish Free Fair officials have announced that Brandon Branch, a member of the cast of the Bravo television program “Southern Charm Savannah,” has been selected as the parade grand marshal for this year’s fair. Branch is a Pine High School graduate.

Branch is the son of Sandra (Forbes) and Phillip Branch. Upon graduation from Pine, he attended Mississippi State University in Starkville, Miss. Though he initially studied landscape architecture, his grandmother had instilled in him the love of gardening, so Branch changed his major to horticulture and obtained his bachelor’s degree.

After graduating college, Branch moved to Aspen, Colo., and joined a private firm specializing in floral arrangements, parties, and events for the Hollywood elite who had homes in the area. After a year in the snow, he resigned his job in Aspen and moved to Savannah, Ga., where he has since lived.

For 14 years, he was the creative director for Food Network’s Paula Dean. In early 2017, a friend asked for Branch’s help putting together a party for a new reality show called “Southern Charm Savannah.” Branch fit in well with the cast and was in the majority of the episodes during the show’s first season. In 2018, Bravo announced Branch would become a full time cast member on the show.

Branch lives in Savannah’s Landmark Historic District in an Italianate home built in 1890. In addition to being on Southern Charm, he is a full time interior and floral designer.

He recently purchased and renovated The St. Francisville Inn in St. Francisville, and the Queen Anne Victorian home is now open for visitors.

Branch will lead the Washington Parish Free Fair parade on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 10 a.m.
