Mrs. Lillian Sorrell Penton, 86, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, at her residence in Bogalusa.

Mrs. Penton is survived by her husband, Harold E. Penton of Bogalusa; a daughter, Sandra Penton (Don) Gendron of Bogalusa; two sons, Harold Keith Penton of Bogalusa, and Kenneth E. Penton (Samantha Sharp) of Bogalusa; one brother, Tommy (Aline) Sorrell of Bogalusa; grandchildren, Carey S. Gendron, Kyle Gendron (Melissa Spears), Brandon Penton (Melaine Duncan), Thomas Penton (Michaela), Kayla Penton Bond, Taylor Lott and Gavin Goings; and great-grandchildren, Chase Penton, Banyan Penton, Brinley Penton, Addy Grace Bond, Tyler Gendron, Skyler Gendron and Georgia Brees Gendron.

Mrs. Penton was preceded in death by her parents, Thad and Francis Sorrell; and her siblings, Virgil Sorrell, Roxie Haik, Polly Taissin and Jenell Sorrell.

Visitation began on Monday, Sept. 16, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., and continued on Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 9 a.m. until the service time of 11 a.m. The Rev. Patrick Magee and Rev. Marcus Rosa officiated and interment was held in the Garden of Peace.
