Johnny Harvey

Johnny Tyrell Harvey, affectionately known to us as “Relly,” was born to Johnny and Henrietta Harvey on March 15, 1984, at Bogalusa Medical Center in Bogalusa. He departed this life on Friday, Aug. 30, 2019.

Johnny loved walking and drinking Coca-Cola drinks. He was often a handyman throughout his community. Everyone looked out for him and cared for him. He was loved by everyone and he also expressed his love for everyone. He expressed his appreciation by being humble and obedient.

Johnny leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, Johnny and Henrietta Harvey; one sister, Antonia Harvey; and one niece, Alaysia Vaugh; his uncles and aunts, Oliver (Ethel) Magee, Jerry (Amy) Fox, Michael Fox, and Timothy Smith Sr., all of Mt. Hermon, Royann Fox of Bogalusa, and Darrick (Frankie) Fox of Hammond, Sandra (Allan) Burkhalter and Linda Fox, both of Mt. Hermon, Lora (Michael) Burton of Franklinton, Teresa Smith of Slidell, Jerrydean (Jerry) Richard of Bogalusa, Virgina Nell (Samuel Sr.) Issac of New Orleans; great-aunts and uncles, Minister L. M. James, Mr. Walter (Maime Lee) Magee, Ms. Nancy Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Johnny “Relly” was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Mr. Arthur and Mrs. Mary Smith, Mr. Oliver and Joelee Fox.

Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 6, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., at Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Franklinton.

The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, at 11 a.m. at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, located at 28040 Mt. Olive Road in Mt. Hermon, with the Rev. Kenneth C. Soulsberry Sr. officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. Olive Church Cemetery.
