Charles Williams Jr. passed away on Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, in New Orleans, at the age of 43.

Charles leaves to cherish a lifetime of precious memories: father, Rev. Charles (Verna) E. Williams Sr.; one son, Jeremiah T. Williams; one daughter, Asia T. Williams; one grandson, Christian-Amour Williams; fiance, Shawna T. Williams of New Orleans; three brothers, Antron K. Newson-Williams of Columbia, Miss., Rhueban L. Williams Sr. of Houston, Texas, Travis (Lang) Bentley, of New Orleans; one loving sister, Clara F. Williams of New Orleans; aunts and uncles, Naomi Williams of Franklinton, Arlief Etienne of Baton Rouge, Aline P. Causey, Minnie P. Lewis and Debra (Tholover) P. Felix, all of New Orleans, Lavern Williams, Robert (Rose) E. Williams of Bogalusa, John L. Williams of Angie, Rev. Charley B. Perkins Jr. of Covington, Michael (Yvonne) Perkins of LaPlace, and Bernell (Gearline) Perkins of Southaven, Miss.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Lee Perkins.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 30, from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m., followed by the funeral service for 10 a.m. at Cypress Grove Baptist Church, located at 901 31st St. in Kenner, with Pastor Fred T. Porter, host pastor, and Pastor Jerrod Jessie officiating.

Visitation will also be Friday, Aug. 30, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. at The Kingdom of God, located at 814 Union Ave. in Bogalusa, with Pastor Kendon Grant, host pastor, and the Rev. Charley B. Perkins Jr. officiating. Interment will be held at the Duffy Cemetery.
