Talmadge Jeffery Smith, a native of Pascagoula, Miss., and a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Monday morning at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, at the age of 58.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather (Zadale) McDaniel of Aberdeen, S.D.; grandchildren, Racheal McDaniel, Zadale McDaniel Jr., and Zander McDaniel; brothers, Richard (Gina) Smith of Poplarville, Miss., and Darrell Smith of Bogalusa; and sister, Anita (Emmitt) Thomas of North Carolina. He is also survived by a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge and Ollie Smith; and sister, Donna Welch.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 15, at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, located at 57500 Knapp Thomas Road in Bogalusa, at 6 p.m. Burial will be private.
