There will be a complete road closure of Louisiana Highway 25 in Washington Parish, approximately 520 feet south of the junction of Highway 25 and Louisiana Highway 38 at Clifton.
This closure will begin Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 8 a.m. and continue through Thursday, Aug. 8, at 5 p.m. This closure is for the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to replace a cross drain, weather permitting.
This portion of Highway 25 will be completely closed. Emergency vehicles and other vehicles will not have access and will need to take an alternate route.
Northbound motorists on Highway 25 should detour by taking Louisiana Highway 430 north to Highway 38 west. Southbound motorists should detour by taking Highway 38 east to Highway 430 south.
The DOTD appreciates the public’s patience and reminds everyone to drive with caution through the construction site, and to be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
