Percy Barnes was born on June 27, 1958, to Mr. Mack and Eloise Barnes. Percy passed away at the age of 61 at Tulane Medical Center on Thursday, July 18, 2019. Percy was a great husband, father and grandfather. He was loved by many.

Percy leaves his family to cherish his memory: a wife of 36 years, Elaine Barnes; three sons, Christopher (Latoya) Barnes, Tremel (Quanisha) Barnes and Jermaine Barnes, all of Franklinton; seven grandchildren; sisters, Linda (Michael) Barnes Bickham, Cassandra Barnes and Anita Barnes; brothers, Alton (Brenda) Barnes and Kenney Ray Barnes, all of Franklinton; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends and family.

Percy was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Mack Barnes; and one sister, Mrs. Rosa Barnes.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Washington St. in Franklinton, and the funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Pastor Dareale Sophser will be officiating.
