A shooting Wednesday in Tylertown, Miss., left a Mt. Hermon man dead and a bank employee badly injured, according to media reports.
Doug Walker of the Tylertown Times reported that the shooting took place at about 11:35 a.m. in the employee parking lot of Citizens Bank. Authorities identified the shooter as Chad Loup of Mt. Hermon.
A Walthall County deputy and county supervisor told Walker that Loup pulled up in a pickup truck, got out and then shot Chad Parish — a bank vice president who was standing several feet away near a parked vehicle.
Authorities told Walker that Loup then fatally shot himself with the same shotgun.
Parish was flown to Forrest General Hospital. As of Wednesday evening, he was listed in stable position and expected to recover, according to Walker.
