Logan Will Jarrell, 25, a resident of Louisiana Highway 62, was arrested Monday by Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives and placed in the Washington Parish Jail on three counts of aggravated rape of a child under the age of 12, one count of aggravated crime against nature and one count of failure to appear in court, according to WPSO Chief Deputy Mike Haley. No bond has been set at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Jarrell is no stranger to the Washington Parish Jail. The latest arrest marks his 10th stay in the jail since 2017 on charges including burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia and numerous counts of failure to appear in court, Haley said

Haley said that due to the sensitive nature of these crimes and to protect the child victims and their families, no additional information will be released.

“Just a few days ago we arrested a different parish resident for sexual crimes against children,” Washington Parish Sheriff Randy Seal said. “Now we have another. The sexual and physical abuse of children must stop! It is absolutely beyond my ability to adequately describe such brutal, heinous and cruel acts against innocent young children.

“Congratulations to our detectives for all of their hard work in this sad, sad matter.”
