FHS grad leads NC brigade

Command Sgt. Maj. Daniel Hillburn took responsibility of the 108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, at Fort Bragg, N.C., on June 10.

Hillburn is a Franklinton High School Class of 1999 graduate. He enlisted into the U.S. Army as a Patriot Missile Crewmember the same year.

He has held many positions in his nearly 20 years of service, including Battalion Command Sgt. Maj. for 1st Battalion, 56th ADA in Fort Sill, Oklahoma and as a Drill Sergeant in Fort Bliss, Texas.

Hillburn has three overseas tours.
