Everlyn Dean

Mrs. Evelyn “Eve” Knight Dean passed away Saturday morning, June 22, 2019, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington from complications of a surgery. She was a native of Pine and resided in Covington for the past few years after spending most of her life in Bogalusa.
Mrs. Eve was a graduate of Pine High School in 1964. She married Gerald Dean from Bogalusa. Together they had three children. Mrs. Eve worked as a bookkeeper for many years and also for the U.S. Postal Service. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. She also enjoyed cooking for her family. She adored her grandchildren and her many dogs throughout her life.
Eve is survived by her two sons, Todd Dean and his wife Nina of Covington, and Cody Dean and his wife Jennifer of Alexandria; one daughter, Tracey Holston of Covington; and one sister-in-law, Jean Knight of Pine. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Michael DeLuca, Claire Dean, Blake Dean, Anthony Dean, Hannah Dean and Evan Dean, and numerous other family members and friends.
Mrs. Eve is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Edward Dean; her parents, Lavan and Pauline Knight; and her brother, Ronald Knight.
