Nellie Byers Training Center would like to thank the people of Bogalusa for their support of the special women and men we serve. Our agency has been supported by the generous people of Bogalusa for over 70 years.

We are hoping that we can count on your continued thoughtful support that will allow us to provide quality services through faith, education and loving care.

Our proven highly structured work activity program is guided by essential core values which nurture the mind, body and spirit, which in turn encourages our participants to be compassionate, committed members of our community.

You will be seeing more community integration of our participants into our local community, in the future. Our participants are now doing volunteer work within our city by visiting residents at Resthaven Nursing Home and the Senior Citizens Council on Aging.

What’s truly remarkable about the men and women we serve is that they are showing the desire, motivation and interest to put forth their best effort in making positive changes in their lives. They are productive, compassionate, caring individuals who contribute to our society.

Your generosity makes possible the achievement of dreams and enables our participants to reach goals as adults, with strong values and real purpose in life.

You are cordially invited to attend our Open House on Wednesday, June 26, at the center, 640 Ave. V in Bogalusa, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Membership dues are $20 per year. Dues can be mailed to “Nellie Byers Training Center.”
