On June 19-20, the Washington Parish Library hosted “Adella, Adella, the Storyteller” at each of the four branches. Adella regaled the children and audience with folk lore and regional “tall” tales and rhyming songs, keeping each of the groups enthralled and entertained.

This program is brought to you in part by the Friends of the Washington Parish Library and a grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council, and as administered by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge. Join the library next week for “Rhythmic Tapestries,” who will be presenting different ethnic and regional dances.

The program will be on Wednesday, June 26, in Bogalusa at 10 a.m. and Enon at 2 p.m. Also, on Thursday, June 27, the program will be in Franklinton at 10 a.m. and Thomas at 2 p.m. Please join the libraries in welcoming this group to our area.
