Washington Parish Fair Queen Claire Ingram has shown she will go to the “End of the World” to represent the “fair with the picnic spirit.”

At the June meeting of the fair committees, Ingram reported on her busy schedule as queen. She travels nearly every weekend to a fair or festival in the state as an ambassador for the largest Louisiana fair. Some of her recent visits included the Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival and the Louisiana Crawfish Festival in Chalmette, where her busy weekend included a stop at the iconic “End of the World” sign in Delacroix.

Claire also was invited by State Sen. Beth Mizell and State Rep. Malinda White to the Louisiana State Capital, where each presented resolutions that gave the history and success of the fair.

In only four short months Ingram’s reign will end, as she crowns a new WPFF queen. It is not too early for young ladies in the parish to begin considering participating in the 2019 pageant.

“It is a year that will change one’s life,” Ingram said.
