Liza Thomas

Liza Adams Thomas, a native and a resident of Bogalusa, died at Brookside Rehabilitation in Resthaven Living Center on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the age of 81. She was born Jan. 30, 1938.

She is survived by her children, Shelia (Carter) Alexander of Copperas Cove, Texas, David (Cindy) Thomas of Poplarville, Miss., Bobby (Deanne) Thomas of Franklinton, and Ronald Bennett of Lafayette; 12 grandchildren, Shawnda Alexander of Copperas Cove, Tiffany Alexander of Copperas Cove, Melissa Thompson of Lafayette, Kevin Pounds of Poplarville, David Thomas of Bogalusa, Adam Thomas of Poplarville, Whitney Thomas of Franklinton, Wade Thomas of Franklinton, Jordan Bennett of Norfolk, Va., Austin Bennett of Lafayette, Summer Bennett of Lafayette, and Brandon Holubar of Holden; two sisters, Sue Palmar of Amite, and Diane Parker of Jackson, Miss.; and two brothers, Roy Adams of Alabama, and J. C. Adams of Texas. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Alma Adams; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held in the chapel of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Monday, June 17, at 11 a.m., with Elder Doyle Ball officiating. Internment followed in the Rueben Adams Cemetery.

A visitation was held on Monday morning from 9 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m., in the funeral home chapel.
