Donald Hawk

Donald A. “Duck” Hawk, 57, passed away on June 8, 2019, at CMMC in Lewiston, Maine. He worked at Versco Paper Mill in Jay, Maine, as a shipping operator “D-Crew.”

He is survived by a daughter, Amber Starnes (Chad) of Bogalusa; brothers, Billy Hawk (Kim) of Bogalusa, Ray and Annettte Hawk of Varnado, and Curtis Hawk of Colorado; two sisters, Gail Leonick (Gerald) of Metairie, and Nute (Shane) Hathorne of Bogalusa; brother from another mother, Rick Howatt (Michelle) of Canton, Maine; three grandchildren, Cameron, Carlie, Domynick; one of his few true loves, Karen Starns of Bogalusa; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces ,nephews, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Tanya Lynn Hawk; and parents, Walter William “Toby” Hathorne and his mother, Dimples Hathorne Bowden.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, located at 610 Ave F. in Bogalusa, on Sunday, June 16, from 10 a.m. until time for service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Ponemah Cemetery.
