Henry Evans

Henry Wayne Evans, a native of Pine Bluff, Ark., and a resident of Bogalusa, passed away Thursday evening, May 30, 2019, at his residence at the age of 82. He was a member of Bogalusa Church of Christ in Bogalusa.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include: his sons, Timothy N. Evans of Franklinton, Christopher Statham of Zachary, Mike Statham of Orlando, Fla., Chip Statham of State College, Pa., Max Marx of Baton Rouge, and David W. Evans and his wife, Emily S. Duncan-Evans; his brother, David J. Evans and his wife, Victoria Gammons-Evans. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years from his second marriage, Shirley Seal Evans; his wife from his first marriage, Leona Barranco Evans; his parents, Henry and Edith Evans; and his daughter, Deborah Evans.
Services celebrating his life will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory in Bogalusa. There will be a visitation on Sunday, June 2, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Monday, June 3, at 9 a.m., which will continue until the funeral service begins at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Price will officiate.
