Mr. Irby Ambrose Luquette, 92, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Trinity Rehab Center in Slidell. He was born in Bancker at his home on July 19, 1926.

Mr. Luquette was preceded in death by his loving parents, Eraste and Dora Luquette; his sisters, Irma Stark, Beulah Wright and Eunice Howard; a brother, Louis Luquette; and a daughter, Evelyn Deville.

Mr. Irby is survived by his wife, Barbara Luquette; two grandsons, Lauren and Chad Touchet; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; as well as numerous friends.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday, May 14, from 9 a.m. until the service time of noon. Interment followed at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Fred Brumfield officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palestine Baptist Church Building Fund.
