Dorothy Hill

Mrs. Dorothy Faye Hill passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at her home in Bogalusa. She was born in Tylertown, Miss., and lived in Bogalusa. Mrs. Dorothy was a faithful member of Mt. Zion United Pentecostal Church in Franklinton. She was also a Member of Lee Hill Baptist Church in Folsom.
Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, Ottis J. Hill of Bogalusa; two sons, Rodney Oscar Stogner and his wife Kim of Pine, and Edward Daniel Stogner and his wife Jessica Westmoreland Stogner of Kentwood; one daughter, Leonora Creel and her husband Brian of Mt. Hermon; three step-daughters, Tori Hill of Bogalusa, Robin Keating and her husband Josh of Bogalusa, and Traci Livley; two brothers, Buster Whitehead of Enon, and Floyd Whitehead of Covington; three sisters, Juanita Jenkins of Enon, Lela Mae Gottschalk of Covington, and Wyoma Howell of Bogalusa; grandsons, Cameron and Caleb Stogner, Koal Stogner, and Kolby Stogner; step-grandsons, Derek and Chris Keating, Greg/Melinea Knight and T.J. Wheeler; granddaughters, Shelby/Lee Wall, Kaylea/Eric Upton, Brittney Jenkins, Kalby Stogner, and Eleonor Stogner; step-granddaughters, Christina Story, Victoria Hill and Vanessa Hill; five great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and also numerous nieces and other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Viola Granger Whitehead; one son, Dustin Randall Stogner; four brothers, Thomas Whitehead, Loyd Whitehead, Walter Whitehead Jr., and Dewitt Whitehead; and four sisters, Betty Spears, Mary Anthony, Louise Gills and Peggy King.
Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend funeral services on Friday, May 10, at 2 p.m. at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home with Pastor Leon Hickman and Brother Brian Bates officiating. Visitation was held on Thursday, May 9, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation resumed on Friday, May 10, at 8 a.m. until the service time. Interment immediately followed at Magee Cemetery in Enon.
