Shelia Hogan-Pittman

Shelia Ramona Hogan-Pittman departed this life on May 4, 2019. She was born March 1, 1961, to the late David Lee Hogan and Betty Tillman-Hogan in Bogalusa. She attended and graduated from Bogalusa High School. Shelia accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and attended Second Missionary Baptist Church.
She was united in marriage to the late Tillmer Pittman and together they raised four children — Duane Hogan, Brian Hogan, Na’tarshish “Mekia” Hogan, and Tillman “Ham” Pittman.
Shelia truly enjoyed styling hair and she passed her passion on to her nieces. She was also know for her great cooking, especially her gumbo.
She was truly loved by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tillmer Pittman; and father, David Lee Hogan.
She leaves to cherish her memories: four devoted, loving children, Duane Hogan and Brian Hogan, both of Bogalusa, Na’tarshish “Mekia” Hogan of West Memphis, Ark., Tillman “Ham” Pittman of Bogalusa and two play sons, Clarence Robinson and Marcus Myrick Sr., both of Bogalusa; a special great niece, Jaylene Morris; grandchildren, Ashaunti Weary, Duane “D.J.” Hogan, Travon Nelson, and Tanaya Nelson; mother, Betty Tillman-Hogan; her siblings, Ronald Hogan of Las Vegas, Nev., Chris Hogan, Erica Hogan and Carol (Arthur) Mixon of Bogalusa, D’Juna Louise (Argell) Smith of Beltsville, Md., Dionne Hogan of College Station, Texas, Jennifer Hogan of Bryan, Texas, and Tevonia (Toni) Hogan of Bryan; and a host of family and friends.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 11, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Darrell Self officiating.
