Hattie Minor-Burnell

Mrs. Hattie Minor-Burnell was born May 30, 1942, in Walnut Grove, Miss., to the late Mandy Elizabeth Woods Keys and Denson Keys.
She departed this life on April 27, 2019, at 76 years of age. She left this earthly life and transitioned to her period of eternal rest in Jennings.
Visitation services will be Friday, May 3, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., followed by the family hour from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
The funeral service will be Saturday, May 4, at First Church of God in Christ of Bogalusa, at 3 p.m., with Bishop Howard Quillen, pastor, and Dr. Charles E. Turner of New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Houston, Texas, officiating. Interment will be in the Rest Lawn Park Cemetery in Avondale.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, R.S. Burnell of Houston; daughters, Gail Quillen of Houston, Tonya (Fred) Bickham of Columbia, Miss., Johnnie Letitia Lewis of Baton Rouge, and Christine Moses of Bogalusa; one sister, Mary Louise (Bishop Howard) Quillen of Bogalusa; 17 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Hattie is preceded in death by her mother, Mandy Elizabeth Keys; her father, Denson Keys; daughter, Charlotte Gobson; grandson, Paris Gatlin; and two sisters, Edna Mingo and Mary Francis Quinn.
