Health forum set for April 1

Are there concerns or issues regarding health in Franklinton or Washington Parish? Do you know about local nutrition and wellness programs to help reduce chronic illnesses? Do you like to represent peers in our community? Do you want to see a change come to Franklinton?

Your opinion matters. Join us at the LSU AgCenter to help create a public awareness of issues facing our peers, and how we can address these needs through educational programs. We will obtain your opinions and prioritize a listing of issues that help or hinder our parish from being a healthy community.

The “Healthy Communities Nutrition and Health Advisory Leadership Forum” will be Monday, April 1, from 10 a.m. until noon at the AgCenter, located at 1104 Bene St., Suite B, in Franklinton.

We look forward to your participation in this important process. We ask that you call Keisha Fletcher, Area Nutrition Agent, at the LSU AgCenter Extension Office at 985-839-7855 or email her at kfletcher@agcenter.lsu.edu to confirm your attendance.

Having an accurate count will allow us to properly plan for facilities and supplies. Refreshments will be served.
