Miriam Day Sandifer Magee Mann, 92, a resident of Longmont, Colo., and former resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Accel Rehab in Longmont.
She was born on Aug. 23, 1926, in Bogalusa. Miriam was a retired Bogalusa Junior High P.E. teacher, taught swimming at the YWCA, and was an award-winning Avon sales rep.
She is survived by three daughters, Gail Rene Magee of Breaux Bridge, Connie Deen Masson and husband Bob of Frederick, Colo., and Sandy Kay Magee of The Colony, Texas; six granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; and a great-grand son.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stanley Magee and husband, Donald E. Mann as well as her son, Gary Stanley Magee.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church, located at 541 Ave. F in Bogalusa, on Saturday, March 30, from noon until 2 p.m., with the Rev. Greg Whaley officiating. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
Relatives of the family are invited to join them for lunch at the church from noon until 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church, 541 Avenue F, Bogalusa, LA 70427.
