Homicide suspect sought

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards is asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect in a fatal shooting that took place Sunday.

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office officials said that investigators are seeking a Ponchatoula man on the charge of second-degree murder. The suspect is Moises Meraz Rodriguez, 33, who uses the alias “Adrian Morquedo Rubio.”

Rubio is accused of shooting Sergio Galindo Jr., 29, of Hammond, after a verbal altercation outside a residence on North Thibodeaux Road in Ponchatoula.
