Sedrick Thomas

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).

Sedrick Thomas was born June 16, 1945, to the late Willie Thomas and Evie Thomas of Tylertown, Miss. He departed this life March 6, 2019.

Sedrick joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age, under the leadership of Rev. E. D. Burns.

During his later years, he attended and graduated from Job Corps of Leesville.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Evie Fields of Bogalusa; a brother, Joseph Thomas of Bogalusa; sisters, Josephine Thomas, Jo Nell (James) Harry, and Francis Wasp of Bogalusa, Alfreda (Burnell) Weary of Bogalusa; a special nephew, Jacque L. Brown; a special niece, Jasmine Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Thomas; and two sisters, Almeta Robinson and Dr. Pearl Mitchell.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 13, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Theodore Newman officiating.

Interment will be in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
