Patrick Winston Stewart, born March 12, 1968, passed away at his home in Bogalusa, on Jan. 14, 2019.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in the Gulf War “Operation Desert Storm/Shield.”

Patrick’s greatest joys in life were his music, poetry, art and cooking, while spending time with family and friends. He was known for his wit and kind spirit.

He is survived by: his father, Jim (Marilyn) Stewart of Charleston, S.C.; two daughters, Wiley Savannah of Bay St. Louis, Miss., and Ismaela (Maela) Ranan Stewart of Philadelphia, Pa.; two brothers, Matthew Blain Stewart of Bogalusa, and Seth James Stewart of Manilla, The Philippines; and two very special friends he loved dearly, Stacey and Dr. Whit Gallaspy, of Bogalusa.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Patsy Carol Wilkinson Bloomguist, of Mandeville; paternal grandparents, James V. and Genelia (Lumpkin) Stewart of Bogalusa; and maternal grandparents, Patrick Wilkinson and step-grandfather Dr. Wilmer W. Knight and grandmother Francis Wilkinson Knight of Franklinton.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, March 9, from 11 am until 2 p.m., at the America Home Legion Home in Bogalusa, with military rites. The Rev. Ronald Wilson will officiate.
