Myrtis Crosby

Myrtis M. Crosby, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019, at Forest Manor Nursing Home in Covington, at the age of 100. She was a member of The Cross Gate Baptist Church in Brandon, Miss.

Myrtis is survived by three sons, Barney Crosby and his wife Lezette of Covington, Gary Crosby and his wife Neva Ann of Franklinton, and Gene Crosby and his wife Susie of Bush; two daughters, Janice Sullivan of Brandon, and Delores Mudgett and her husband John, also of Brandon; one brother, Quentin Quave of Houma; one sister, Cidette Fortenberry of Arlington, Texas; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Crosby; parents, Joseph and Victoria Quave; two grandchildren; and nine siblings.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until service time. Officiating will be Bro. Wesley Quave. Interment will immediately follow at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Angie.
