Jean Hinote Moss passed away peacefully on Feb. 19, 2019, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. She was 93 years old and a life-long resident of Bogalusa.

She is survived by her son, James Moss of Baton Rouge; daughter, Judy Drummond and husband Teddy of Bogalusa; and two grandsons, Scott Stewart and Sam Drummond, both of Bogalusa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lucy Hinote; her husband, Howard Moss; and sisters, Bobbie Thompson, Louise Gates and Inez Slaughter.

She was a loving stay-at-home mother and housewife who devoted her life to her family. She was a member of Superior Avenue Baptist Church and the Esther and Martha’s Willing Workers Sunday School Class.

Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements. Her family will receive friends at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24, in the chapel at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Clay Norwood officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank her caregiver, Michelle Miley, and the staff at AmeraCare Hospice.
