Jackqueline D. McGriggs Miller, or “Jackie” as we called her, was born to the late Frank Sr. and Carrie McGriggs in Bogalusa. She was born Sept. 4, 1968. She departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019.
She graduated from Bogalusa High School. She worked at Medical Center, Main Street Grocery. She was a lovely person to everyone. She loved her sisters and brothers and her lovely children who she cherished and all her grandchildren. She attended Second Missionary Baptist Church.
She leaves to mourn her two children who she loved so much, her son, Stanley Miller Jr. and her daughter Carrie Miller, both of Bogalusa; four sisters, Willough McGriggs, Lynda (Robert) White of Bogalusa, Virginia McGriggs of California, Karia McGriggs of Washington, D.C.; four brothers, Frank McGriggs Jr., Micheal (Ariel) McGriggs and Raymond McGriggs, all of Bogalusa, and Joseph B.(Cheryl) McGriggs of Houston, Texas; and eight grandchildren; special friend, Edward Lee; godsister, Uhneqa Young; her nanny, Phyllis Jackson; and special friends, Lisa Smith and Lisa Holloway.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Sr. and Carrie McGriggs; and brothers, Rodney, Kenneth, Steven and Johnny.
Services will be held at Second Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. Visitation was Friday, Feb. 22, at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Interment will follow at Bogalusa Cemetery.
