Diane May

Diane Foster May, 71, a resident of Pine, died early Wednesday morning, Feb. 6, 2019, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. She was a longtime active member of Crain’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church, who loved reading her Bible and listening to gospel music. She also loved crosses and had a collection of different types in her home. Diane was a former Den Leader for Troop 86 of the Boys Scouts of America for many years. She loved the New York Yankees and always enjoyed visiting with her family. Diane adored her grandchildren and young great-grandsons.

She is survived by: daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Michael Jones of Franklinton; son and daughter-in-law, Allen “Woody” and Dee Dee Adcox of Pine; four grandchildren and a spouse, Sarah Jones and Sierra Jones, both of Franklinton, Callie Adcox Moore and Jordan Moore, and Nicholas Adcox, all of Pine; two great-grandsons, Madden Moore and Maverick Moore; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Laverne and Gary Hudson of Mount Starling, Ky., and Gloria and Huey Mizell of Isabel; brother, Donnie Foster of Bogalusa; sisters-in-law, Janet Foster and Yvonne Foster, both of Bogalusa; special friends, Leatrice Mitchell, Shirley Cothern and Gay Nell Stuart; and also numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jamie Lee Adcox; parents, Samuel Foster and Jewel Moxley Foster; sister, Debbie Van Norman; and brothers, Gene Foster, Charles Ray Foster, Milton Foster and Samuel Foster Jr.

Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8. A funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, with Elder Edward Penton officiating. Burial followed in the Crain’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jordan Foster, Patrick Foster, Seth Schilling, Richard Van Savage, Jason Panvelle and Jordan Moore. Honorary pallbearers were Dylan Jordan and Hilton Schillings.
