Ivey Alexander

Ivey Jay Alexander passed away at his home on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019. He was born April 8, 1956.

Ivy Jay Alexander was born to the late Henrietta Brown Alexander of Tylertown, Miss., and the late I.J. Alexander of Columbia, Miss. He leaves to mourn three sisters, Inita (Charles) Alexander, Gwenda (Johnny) Gholar, Letricia (John) Magee, all of Bogalusa; four brothers, Micheal (Michele) Alexander of Austin, Texas, Bennie (Shirley) Alexander, Billy Alexander and Douglas Levi, all of Bogalusa, Nicholas (Nicolette) Bullock of Picayune, Miss.; his goddaughter, Tamekia Harris of Bogalusa; three aunts, S’eleather Marks, Beatrice Crumedy, Edgie Lee Crumedy, all of Tylertown; one uncle, Collis Henry Crumedy of Tylertown; a special cousin, Claudia Alford; and special friends, Darryl Dixon and Larry Bickham.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henrietta B. Alexander, I.J. Alexander; his grandmother, Mammie Brown Crumedy; uncle, Collin Crumedy; aunts, Mattie Gatlin, Mildred Spikes Peters and Jessie Brown; nieces, Tonya, Monica, Courney, Niyoka, Diamond, Toya, Ladasha and Lakeshia; and nephews, Brandon, Paul, Micheal, Ryan, Ronald, Broderick, Micheal Jr. and Darron Wells.

Visitation and service will be Saturday, Feb. 9, beginning 2 p.m. at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home in Bogalusa.
