Maxine Hunt

Maxine “Cissie” Hunt, 65, of Dandridge, Tenn., formerly of Bogalusa, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, at approximately 10:10 p.m. Cissie was loved by all and never met a stranger. She graduated from Bogalusa High School and attended a fashion institute in Dallas, Texas.

Having owned her gift shop “Country Holiday” for many years in Bogalusa, she provided unique, handcrafted gifts to all. Later in life, she served 10 years as an Area Marketing Representative for the Sevierville (Tenn.) Chamber of Commerce.

She was a loving mother to three sons, Tyler and Trevor who are twins, and the youngest, Adam. She is survived by her sons; four grandchildren; and three brothers, Charles, Glenn and Errol.

Cissie is preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Virgil Sumrall and Winnie Lee Sumrall.

The visitation was held Friday, Jan. 25, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., and the funeral service followed at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Max Frye officiating. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Dandridge.
