Bogalusa’s Clydeterrious Thompson was victorious in the 400 meters at the LSU High School Qualifier Track and Field Meet that was held last Saturday at LSU.
Thompson ran the 400 in 51.39 seconds, winning by nearly a half second over West Jefferson’s Mark Emilien (51.81). Seventy-six runners competed.
Thompson competed in three events and was a top-10 finisher in each.
Thompson was also fourth in the long jump and seventh in the 60 meters.
Thompson jumped 20-feet, 8.75 inches. Westlake’s Xavier Goodly was the winner at 21-9, as 49 participated.
Thompson took seventh in the 60 after clocking a time of 7.07. John Curtis’ Corey Wren won at 6.87.
Bogalusa’s 4×800 relay team was 17th after running a 9:37. The team featured Donald Lewis, Dustin Wager, Dre’Toris Mark and Davin Phillips. Catholic High won in 8:22.
Lewis was 53rd in the 800 meters after recording a 2:22. Catholic High’s Collin Hedges was victorious in 2:00.
Wager was 64th for the 1,600 meters after running a 5:26. Brother Martin’s Hunter Appleton won in 4:27.
