Imogene McGraw

Imogene M. McGraw, 83, of Congerville, Ill., formerly of Louisiana, passed away at 9:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at Heritage Manor in El Paso, Ill.
She was born Dec. 10, 1935, in Roseland, to Jessie W. and Myrtis (Mixon) Corkern.
Surviving are her children, R. Carey (Glenda) McGraw of Congerville, Joanne (Nicky) Armoney, Kathy Nunez, Todd McGraw and Beth Bares of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Jeanine Knight of Bogalusa, Evelyn Ratcliff of Franklinton, and Shirley Stogner of Texas; eight grandchildren, Clint (Megan) McGraw, Nathan McGraw, Jene’ (Tom) Forney, Nicolas (Nicole) Armoney, Lucas (Danielle) Johnson, Ashley Bares, Marty (Maggie) McGraw and Justin Nunez; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jesse Corkern Jr.; and one sister, Hazel Sinopoli.
Imogene was a member of Superior Baptist Church in Bogalusa. Imogene worked for many daycares in the past (childcare and cook) then later provided child care for individual families. She loved children. Her favorite pastimes were reading and quilting. She was also an avid LSU Tigers fan.
A private family service will be held on Feb. 2, 2019, at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka, Ill. Cremation will be accorded. Burial of her cremains will be in Olio Township Cemetery in Eureka.
