There will be a meeting Thursday, Jan. 24, at Mary’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Varnado, at 6 p.m. The purpose of this meeting will be to provide information to citizens who may have been affected by the Dec. 29 flooding in Washington Parish.

Parish Council member Levi Lewis said that he is hopeful there will be officials from the parish, and possibly the state, who will be able to provide information, answer questions and receive applications for grants for those who are eligible.
