Senard B. McElvin departed this life at the age of 72 at the Lakeview Regional Medical Center on Dec. 29, 2018.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the home of Yvonne Taylor, 1331 Warren St. in Bogalusa.

Senard is survived by his loving friend, Yvonne Taylor of Bogalusa; one daughter, Michelle Marshall, also of Bogalusa; six sisters; five brothers; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three young men he loved as his sons, Dean Thomas, Kevin Moore and Scott Smith; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Senard was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Anna) Johnson; sisters, Ruby Anderson and Wallace Walker; and an infant son.

Thanks to all who helped from Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, including all of the doctors and nurses in ICU. Thank you very much for being there for the family. Keep us in your prayers and may God bless you.
