Sylvia Lambert

Sylvia Faye Hunt Stewart Lambert, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away Dec. 13, 2018, at Resthaven Living Center. She was 74, born June 20, 1944, in Sheridan, and a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist. Sylvia was a BellSouth retiree.

She is survived by her husband, George P. Lambert Jr.; daughter, Debbie (Wade) Magee of Varnado; grandson, Adam Magee; granddaughter, Amber (Chad) Burge; great-granddaughters, Kailee and Kinlee Burge; stepchildren, Donna (John) Phillips, Dewayne (Patti) Lambert and Russell (Cheryl) Lambert; grandchildren, Brian (Wendy) Phillips, Blake (Whitney) Phillips, Collins (Shobi) Barnes and Carlie Lambert; and great-grandchildren, Kallynn and Beckett Phillips.

She is also survived by sisters, Judy Foster (Charles) of Denham Springs, Nell Ledet (Gary) of Franklinton, Wilda Phillips (Dan) of Bogalusa and Grace Bask (Wayne) of Adamsville, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Charles Russell of Angie; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Crain Hunt of Franklinton, Eloise (Gary) Duncan and Wilkie Woods of Bogalusa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Edgar and Ether Idonia McNeese Hunt; brother, William Quincy Hunt; and sisters, Mildred Avis Liberatore, Cecil Mavis Whittington, Alma Eloise Russell and Ether Mae Stewart.

She was also preceded in death by her precious fur baby, Chelsea, and survived by fur baby, Chloe.

The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist of Varnado on Saturday, Jan. 12. Her Celebration will begin at 1 p.m. with Bro. Pete Underwood.
