Lucy Lane Hartzog Branch, a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, at the age of 70. She was born on Jan. 16, 1948, in Bogalusa.

She is survived by a daughter, Jessica Branch (Justin) Messina of Franklinton; a son, Bryan (Kristy) Branch of Ragley; five grandchildren, Victoria Branch, Elizabeth Branch, Madysin Branch, Mason Branch and Jenkins Messina; and a great-grandchild, Natalie Keating. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Buford Hartzog and Rosa Lee Stogner Hartzog; and three sisters, Lois Hartzog Morecock, Jo Ann Hartzog Gilley, and Jimmie Rose Hartzog Langenhennig.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 5, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Scott Breland officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
