Wyjean Jackson

Wyjean Jackson was born on Oct. 19, 1955, to Mrs. Mazie Lee Jackson McGowan. He was the eighth child. He departed this life on Dec. 1, 2018, at the Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Natasha Leflore of New Orleans; three sisters, Andrewnette Williams of Bogalusa, Clara Gaddy of New Orleans, and Fredia Carter of Bogalusa; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins and friends; and two nephews that he cared about so much, David A. Cotton of Bogalusa and Derrick Jackson of St. Louis, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mazie Lee Jackson McGowan and Welbert Carter; five sisters, Arnice Wrights, Mary Ella Green, Bessie Faye Nelson, Julia McGowan and Lillie Mae Jackson; and all his aunts, uncles and his grandparents, Welbert and Rachel Jackson; one brother, Ray Daniel McGowan; and two nephews, Bruce McGowan and Ovil (Ray Ray) Green.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 22, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Archie McGowan officiating.
