Myrtle Nobles

Myrtle Crowe Nobles passed peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was 94 years old and a native of Bogalusa.

She is survived by her only child, Barbara Nobles Chauvin of Denham Springs; her three grandchildren, Jerome Chauvin, Kim Spillers and spouse Mike Spillers, Lesa Courville and spouse Matt Courville. She had 11 great grandchildren she loved dearly: Erin, Kaitlyn and spouse Michael, Victoria, Keith, Jessica, Stephanie, Vanessa, Bradley, Priscilla, Hayleigh, and Bella. She is also survived by her sister, Peggy Annette Crowe Parrill of Bogalusa; and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Wilbur Ray “Billy” Nobles; her parents, Marshall and Vera Crowe; and brothers Marshall Jr., Virgil, T.J, Earl, and Dudley.

She had a special love for her daughter and her grandchildren. She loved to shop for them in her earlier years.

Funeral services will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 2 p.m. A visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 20, from 1 p.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. The Rev. Marcus Rosa will officiate. Interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jerome Chauvin, Robert Earl Crowe, Mike Spillers, Matt Courville, Keith Wall, Bradley Pickering and Michael Hall.
