Jeffrey Sykes, a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, died Saturday morning, Dec. 15, 2018, at his residence, at the age of 58. He was born in Bogalusa on Sept. 21, 1960. He worked most of his life in construction as a welder.

He is survived by his father, Jerry Sykes of Bogalusa; daughter, Ashley (Gabby) Clover of New York; two granddaughters, Geri Clover and Meredith Clover, both of New York; sister, Donna (Henry) Mullen of Bogalusa; brother, Douglas Ray Sykes of Bogalusa; and also survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Sykes.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
