Adam Smith

Adam Wayne Smith, born in Independence on Dec. 5, 1974, and a resident of Bogalusa, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at his residence at the age of 44. He was a member of Ben’s Ford Baptist Church in Bogalusa.

He is survived by his step-father, Kenneth Randall (Lynne) Freeman of Bogalusa; brothers, Clyde David (Shawn) Smith III of Franklinton, and George (Courtney) Freeman of Franklinton; sister, Kimberly (Scott) Turnage of Thomas; nieces and nephews, Colton Smith of Missouri, Andrew Turnage of Ruston, Karlissa Turnage of Starkville, Miss., Grayden DeQueant, Patrick Richardson, Maddilyn, Sidney Richardson, Mackenzie Smith, Mackenna Smith, Mackenlie Smith, all of Franklinton; aunt, Bernell Seals of Walker; and also survived by numerous other relatives, and a host of friends.

A special thanks to his caregiver, Christin Moses; and nurse, Kamala Aaron of Southeast Home Health of Bogalusa.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Madeline Smith Freeman; grandfather, Edward Lott; grandmother, Bessie Lewis Lott; aunts, Margie Beeson and Mary Lou Carter; and uncle, Jimmy Lott.

The funeral service was held at Ben’s Ford Baptist Church on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m. with Bro. Caleb Martin and Bro. Lynn Martin officiating. Interment followed in the Ben’s Ford Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held at the church Monday, Dec. 17, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and again at the church on Tuesday morning, Dec. 18, from 9 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m.
