This month, the International Paper Bogalusa Mill announced that it awarded $99,000 in grants from the IP Foundation to area non-profits in 2018. The mill distributes grants based on the company’s signature causes of children’s Education/Literacy, Hunger/Nutrition and Health/Wellness.

This year’s award recipients included: Annunciation Catholic School, Bowling Green School, Celebrate Life International, Franklinton Elementary School, Friends of the Washington Parish Library, Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation, Mt. Hermon School, Northshore College Enhancement Foundation, Northshore Food Bank, Northshore Off-Road Bicycling Association, Pine High School, Second Harvest Food Bank, Sister for Sister and Truth in Nature.

The mill will begin a new grant funding cycle in 2019, at which time local non-profits can apply online at IPGiving.com. Click on “Apply for a Grant” and a series of qualifying questions will follow. Local non-profit organizations do not require an invitation code to apply. Select the Bogalusa Mill as the mill location. From there, the site walks the applicant through the process.
