Gary Timothy Poist Sr., also known as “Pee-Paw,” passed away Wednesday morning, Dec. 12, 2018, at the age of 74.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Victoria Fitzpatrick of Bogalusa; one son, Gary Timothy Poist Jr. of Baltimore, Md.; one daughter, Christina Poist of Bogalusa; two sisters, Jennie and Jessie, both of Baltimore; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helen Poist; one son, James Edward Poist; and three brothers, Foxy Poist, Alan Poist and Magee Poist.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend services at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa on Sunday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., until the service time.

Interment will immediately follow at New Hope Cemetery in Crossroads, Miss.
