Anita Lott

Anita Winkler Lott, a longtime resident of Varnado, passed away on Tuesday morning, Dec. 11, 2018, at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton, at the age of 82. She worked in the cafeteria at Varnado High School for many years until her retirement.

She is survived by her son, Charles (Donna) Chastant of Franklinton; a sister, Janie Todd of Des Moines, Iowa; a brother, Needham R. Forbes of Varnado; a granddaughter, Christa Chastant of Varnado; three grandsons, Cayman Chastant of Varnado, Kaleb, and Kaden Miller of Franklinton; and a great-grandchild, Bryson Brumfield of Varnado. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 14 years, Floyd Lott; her parents, Needham and Paula Forbes; a son, Robert Thomas; a sister, Wanda Forbes; and a brother, Jack Forbes.

Graveside services were held at Garden of Peace at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13, with the Rev. Fred Brumfield officiating.
