Frederick “Ricky” Maurice Adams Jr., a former resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at his residence in Hammond, LA at the age of 70. Born and raised in Bogalusa, LA he played football for the mighty Bogalusa Lumberjacks. In his college years, he also played football for the Tulane Green Wave. He was a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University. He was a proud member of the Masons organization. He enjoyed his life and lived it to the fullest.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Linda J. Adams of Hammond; his mother, Verna Louise Boyd Adams of Bogalusa; one daughter, Erika Adams of Baton Rouge; his sister, Anice (Gregg) Smith of Baton Rouge; a nephew, Adam (Kristy) Smith of Baton Rouge; and great-nephew, Asher Smith; his cousin, Bonnie Cothern of Bogalusa; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Maurice Adams Sr.

Services celebrating the life of Mr. Adams will be at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa on Monday, Dec. 10. Family will receive friends at 10 a.m. There will be a Masonic service at 11 a.m. Visitation will continue after that until the funeral service begins at 2 p.m.
